Maple & Sage Breakfast Sausage is better than any breakfast sausage you can buy at the store! The balance of maple syrup and sage makes the perfectly sweet and savory breakfast sausage.

Cook time: 10 minutes

1lb Source Farms Ground Pork

1 ½ tsp Kosher Salt

1 tbsp Ginger, freshly grated

1 tbsp Sage, fresh picked & chopped

1 tsp Garlic, minced

½ tsp Black Pepper, coarsely ground

2 tbsp Maple Syrup

1 tbsp Ice Water



Come all the ingredients except the syrup and water. Place mixture in a mixer with a paddle attachment and add the syrup and water while the mixer is on low. Mix until smooth, about 1 minute.

Stuff sausage into casings or form patties of desired size. Gently sauté or roast the sausages until cooked through, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Serve with Source Farms fried eggs and toast!


Chef Tips:

Keep the mixture well chilled while mixing. Allow to marinate overnight before cooking as this will allow the flavors of the herbs and spice to bloom.
