These animals play an important role in keeping our soil healthy, just by doing what cows do best: grazing on rotating fields and enjoying the very best salad bar on earth. All this green grass and exercise creates delicious, well-marbled meat that is richer in Omega 3s, Vitamin E, and D.

About Shares: Simply put, a share is a whole, half, quarter, eighth, or sixteenth of an animal—bought directly from our farmers. Since you’re supporting farms committed to using practices that care for animals and the planet, shares are one of the best ways to purchase meat in a sustainable, ethical way.

Farmer Tip: Pasture-raising cows is widely recognized as one of the fastest and most effective means of taking carbon out of our atmosphere. Their hooves are magic for the soil, improving root systems and preventing soil erosion, all vital for reducing global warming.

Approximate Weights: All shares are calculated and sold on the animal’s hanging weight. Whole shares come in at approximately 680lbs (hanging weight), half shares at around 340lbs, quarter shares at around 170lbs, and 1/8th shares at around 85lbs. Weights differ from animal to animal, so all prices listed below are only approximations. Final take home weight is around 65% of the hanging weight. and price are provided when the animal is harvested. Cuts inventories below are approximate and typical, but your package will vary slightly.

Deposits: Buying meat in bulk as a share is the most economical way to source the highest quality meat, raised regeneratively, and in direct support of your land stewards. Requiring a deposit will allow us to sustainably plan the herd with our farming partners, ensuring they will have the correct amount of animals at the time of harvest.

Custom Front Quarter

The front quarter of a cow is where all the walking happens. It is full of large muscles that help the animal move across pasture. It gives cuts that are best for ground and slow cooking. It is the most cost effective ground beef you’ll find.

Includes: rib steaks or prime rib roast. 

Chuck roasts or steaks, mock tenders, pot roasts, brisket, and ribs.

Custom Hind Quarter

The hind quarter of the animal is where the prime cuts are. The back legs of the cow are just along for the ride. This section of the animal has the most marbling and tenderness.
